• J-B Weld OriginalRigid metal repairs — a cracked bracket, a stripped hole, a broken tool handle.Limit · Slow overnight cure and a dark gray glue line; not for flexible or invisible joints.
• Gorilla 2-Part EpoxyGeneral household rigid repairs where a clear, gap-tolerant bond matters.Limit · Not for PE/PP plastics, constant soaking, or anything touching food — and the five-minute working time goes fast.

• Loctite Super Glue Ultra Gel ControlSmall, tight-fitting breaks — a ceramic handle, a rubber foot, a plastic clip. The rubber-toughened gel tolerates knocks and vibration better than ordinary CA.Limit · The gel stops drips but doesn't fill gaps — and it's not for PE/PP plastics, foam, or anything going in the dishwasher.
• Loctite Plastics Bonding SystemThe fix for polypropylene and polyethylene — an activator pen primes the waxy surface so the adhesive can grip. Also handles PVC, polycarbonate, and other hard plastics.Limit · Cures brittle, doesn't fill gaps, and its data sheet rules out exterior use — indoor, snug-fitting repairs only.
• Gorilla Super Glue GelVertical or slightly porous small repairs where a runny CA would drip or soak in.Limit · Same family trade-offs: rigid, poor gap filling, short working time.

• Titebond IIIThe default for wood-to-wood joints, including outdoor furniture and cutting boards — the waterproof PVA most woodworkers reach for.Limit · Wood only, snug joints only. It won't fill gaps and won't stick to metal, glass, or plastic.
• Elmer's Carpenter's Wood GlueIndoor furniture and trim repairs — the widely available, budget-friendly PVA.Limit · Interior use; for outdoor joints step up to a waterproof formula like Titebond III.

• Gorilla Glue OriginalMixed-material repairs — wood to metal, stone to ceramic — especially outdoors.Limit · Foams 3x as it cures yet still needs tight-fitting joints — wrong for visible glue lines, gaps, and PP/PE plastics.

• Liquid Nails Heavy DutyTrim, paneling, and small masonry jobs — anything you'd run a bead along.Limit · Needs a caulk gun, and it isn't for precise small repairs.

• GE Advanced Silicone 2Sealing around tubs, sinks, and windows — flexible, waterproof, and long-lived.Limit · A sealant, not a structural glue — paint won't stick to it, and it's ruled out for aquariums, food contact, and continuous underwater use.
