Wood glue (PVA)

The default for wood-to-wood. A cured PVA joint is stronger than the wood itself.

Where it works best

Wrong toolNon-porous materials like metal, glass, or plastic — it needs to soak in to work.

Using it

What actually matters

  1. 01A thin coat on both faces beats a thick coat on one.
  2. 02Clamp firmly — PVA needs contact pressure while it dries.
  3. 03Wipe the squeeze-out with a damp cloth before it skins over.
  4. 04Joints should fit snugly; yellow glue is not gap-filling.
