Preguntas

Preguntas frecuentes

Is a waterproof adhesive automatically suitable outdoors?
No. Outdoor joints also face sunlight, temperature swings, and movement as materials gain and lose moisture. Look for an exterior-use statement that covers the assembled joint, not only a waterproof claim.
Why does drainage matter if the glue is weather resistant?
Standing water keeps the joint wet and carries dirt into small openings, while a drained surface gets a chance to dry. Shape the assembly so water runs away instead of asking the adhesive to serve as a permanent pond liner.
Why do outdoor joints between different materials open up?
Wood, metal, plastic, and masonry respond differently to heat and moisture. The mismatch repeatedly pulls at the glue line, so the joint needs movement tolerance as well as weather resistance.
Will paint or a finish protect an indoor adhesive outdoors?
A sound coating can reduce water and sunlight reaching the glue line, but scratches and edge openings eventually expose it. Protective finish helps an exterior-rated system; it does not turn an interior-only adhesive into one.
