- What is the difference between Shoe GOO and E6000?
- Both adhesives are solvent-based synthetic rubber made by Eclectic Products. Shoe GOO is formulated with slightly higher abrasion resistance and thick build properties specifically tailored for walking wear and tread rebuilding.
- How long after applying Shoe GOO can I wear my shoes?
- Wait at least 24 hours for a light thin-film bond. For deep sole repairs or built-up heel layers, wait 48 to 72 hours for maximum cure before heavy walking.
- Can Shoe GOO be used to coat and rebuild a hole in a sole?
- Yes. Apply a piece of tape inside the shoe over the hole, apply Shoe GOO in thin successive layers from the outside, letting each layer set 3 to 4 hours, then allow a full 48-hour cure.
- How do I clean excess or spilled Shoe GOO?
- Uncured adhesive wipes away with acetone, nail polish remover, or citrus-based solvents. Once fully cured, it must be trimmed away with a razor blade or peeled mechanically.
