Joint de colle visible
La colle durcie reste visible sur la pièce finie, la couleur et la transparence sont donc primordiales.

Travailler avec
- Pensez-y avant d’encoller : rien ne peut masquer un joint de colle durci à part le découper et tout recommencer.
- L’époxy transparent et la cyanoacrylate fluide restent quasiment invisibles sur le verre et les plastiques clairs ; la mousse polyuréthane et l’époxy gris ne le seront jamais.
- Masquer les abords du joint avec du ruban adhésif avant d’appliquer la colle est bien plus rapide que de nettoyer les coulures sur une surface finie.

- Why is clear adhesive still visible after curing?
- Clear does not mean optically invisible. A thick glue line, trapped air, surface scratches, and a different refractive appearance can all outline the joint; the best-looking clear bond is usually thin, even, and bubble-free.
- How do I keep squeeze-out from spoiling a finished surface?
- Mask close to both edges of the joint and apply less adhesive than an open repair seems to need. Remove the masking at the stage recommended for that product so it does not tear a cured film across the edge.
- Can I trust the wet color to predict the finished glue line?
- No. Some adhesives become clearer, darker, yellower, or foamy as they cure. Make a small sample on offcuts and view it against the actual material and lighting before committing to a visible joint.
- What if no adhesive gives an acceptable visible seam?
- Change the joint instead of hoping the glue disappears. Move the bond behind an overlap, add trim, use a shadow line, or choose a mechanical connection that makes the seam look intentional.
